About this Design

The design features a grid of twelve intricately detailed blue insects, including moths, beetles, and dragonflies. Each insect is centered in a square with geometric shapes and decorative patterns. The style is reminiscent of vintage illustrations with ornate flourishes at the corners of each square. The insects are symmetrically drawn, showcasing fine line work and traditional tattoo influences.

Delft Insectarium is a modern gothic take on the classic Dutch Delft tile aesthetic. This highly detailed repeat pattern blends the elegance of traditional blue and white porcelain with the macabre fascination of the occult. A carefully arranged tile grid showcases intricate insects, beetles, dragonflies, and moths, interwoven with celestial and geometric occult symbols. It's a striking design that is both historically inspired and wonderfully strange. Perfect for bringing a touch of sophisticated, dark academia, or witchy elegance to home goods, apparel, and accessories.
