About this Design
A detailed black and white illustration of a frog with stripes and spots. The frog is depicted with a texture of fine dots, creating a classic stippling effect, and exhibits both stripes along its body and spots on its limbs, suggesting a fusion of artistic and naturalistic influences.
@lorendowding
Black and white pen and ink animal illustration of a reticulated poison dart frog. I made this drawing with fine ink marker pens on Bristol board, using a stippling, or dot work technique. Reticulated poison frogs (Ranitomeya ventrimaculata) are a species of dart frog in the Ranitomeya family, also known as thumbnail dart frogs. These frogs are found in the tropical rainforests in South America and are mostly black in colour with vibrant red stripes on the upper body which graduate to blue spotted with black on the sides of the body and legs.
