About this Design

The design features a one-eyed umbrella character with a large, protruding tongue. It has a wooden leg wearing a sandal, and is surrounded by floating flames and raindrops. There are Japanese kanji characters above and beside the umbrella. The style is reminiscent of traditional Japanese yokai art, portraying the umbrella as a tsukumogami, a spirit of an inanimate object.

@digitalcarbine

Meet Umbrella Yokai, a whimsical yet eerie tribute to the legendary Karakasa Obake, a mythical ghost from Japanese folklore. Said to be born from neglected umbrellas, this creature takes the form of a one-eyed, one-legged haunted umbrella with a long tongue and a mischievous spirit. With bold lines, vintage horror vibes, and a splash of supernatural charm, this design blends urban legend with modern comic aesthetic. Whether you're a fan of yokai, Japanese mythology, or just love creepy-cute artwork, this piece brings haunting energy with every glance. Perfect for fans of folklore, horror, Japan-inspired art, and yokai culture. Let this dripping specter of the rainy night guard your wardrobe and spark conversation wherever it floats.
