Black and white ink drawing of a sun conure. This illustration is hand-drawn using ink pens on Bristol board. Sun conures (Aratinga solstitialis) are an endangered species of parrot found only in one small area of South America. The sun parakeet is a striking bird with vibrant golden plumage which blends from bright orange to yellow. This contrasts with their wing and tail feathers which are green and blue.
