About this Design

A black and white line drawing resembling a prehistoric cave painting. It depicts a stylized, running bull with long, curved horns, four legs, and a tail. The lines are bold and textured, giving a dynamic sense of motion. Flecks and strokes around the bull add to the impression of movement, as if the bull is charging through an invisible landscape. The minimalist and abstract nature evokes ancient artistic traditions.

This block print design is based on the famous paleolithic cave art from the Lascaux Caves. The animal depicted here is an aurochs, a type of now extinct wild cattle. To create this I first hand-carved, then printed, my own block carving of this design then scanned the print.
