About this Design
This image features a black and white, stylized illustration of wheat stalks. The wheat is depicted with intricate detailing, including the pointed grains and elongated leaves. The design uses bold, contrasting lines to create a striking visual effect and conveys a natural, organic theme.
@laformadesigns
This design is based of a talatat from Amarna in Ancient Egypt. Amarna was an 18th Dynasty city established by one of the most notorious pharaohs, Akhenaten. A talatat was a standardized piece of limestone that was used for construction and often decorated in beautiful imagery, sometimes relating to the worship of the Aten. Here the talatat represented a field of ripe barley, swaying in the breeze. I've recreated this as a block print and printed it by hand in before scanning it.
