About this Design

In 1972 during the Vietnam War, a young soldier and cartoonist-to-be named Morrie “Muddy” Davis encountered an unexplainable, deadly but loyal mechanical soldier. Convinced by the Army that what he saw wasn’t real, Muddy created a popular Sunday Strip called JUNKYARD JOE. Today, after the death of his wife, the now 76-year-old cartoonist announces the strip’s retirement and falls into a state of depression and reclusion. But soon after, Muddy comes face-to-face with his old robotic friend… and discovers he still has a lot left to live for… if those after Junkyard Joe don’t cut it short.
